NEEDLELESS CONNECTORS
Qosina’s new lipid resistant
Needleless Connectors are compatible with any ISO/ANSI
luer and feature a one piece design that eliminates
the need for adaptors or caps. The Y configuration consists
of a female luer to male luer slip, with a needleless
female luer side port. The straight connector features
a needleless female luer port to male luer lock.
The connectors are equipped with a luer activated valve
that allows any standard male luer to open the connection.
Each needleless site allows for bidirectional flow when
the valves are actuated enabling one to inject or aspirate.
When the connection is removed, the valve will reseal
against backflow even when used with viscous solutions.
By eliminating the use of sharp needles for accessing
IV lines, the needleless connectors are designed to
prevent accidental needle sticks. They pose an economical
alternative to other needleless sites and are available
with a low minimum purchase requirement. Composed of
Copolyester, Polypropylene and Santoprene with a stainless
steel spring, the connectors are made of biocompatible
materials with no latex, silicones or lubricants.
